Spartan Chemical Statement Regarding Adelanto ICE Facility Allegations
Maumee, OH. – June 5, 2020 - Spartan Chemical Company, Inc., a recognized leader in the formulation and manufacture of sustainable cleaning and sanitation solutions for the industrial and institutional market, today made the following statement regarding Adelanto ICE facility allegations.
Spartan is aware of the allegations being brought against Adelanto ICE Processing Center related to HDQ Neutral®. Safety is a top concern at Spartan for both the cleaning staff that use our products, as well as the building occupants where our products are being used. All Spartan disinfectants are regulated, registered, and approved by the EPA and strictly follow EPA requirements and policies for safety labeling and hazard communication.
In evaluating a disinfectant registration application, the EPA assesses a wide variety of potential human health and environmental effects associated with use of the product. The EPA also evaluates and approves the language that appears on each disinfectant label to ensure the directions for use and safety measures are appropriate to mitigate any potential risk. Disinfectants play a critical role in stopping the spread of infection.
