PROCEDURE TO PREPARE A FLOOR FOR WAXING USING AN AUTOMATIC SCRUBBER


Tools & Materials Needed:

1. Automatic scrubber
2. Two mop buckets
3. One wringer
4. Wet floor signs
5. Floor squeegee
6. Red floor pads
7. Gloves and goggles


Procedures:

DEEP SCRUBBING PROCEDURES:

1. Dust mop the floor with a dust mop that has been treated with Spartan's Dust Mop/Dust Cloth Treatment.
2. Move as much furniture out of the area as possible.
3. Place wet floor signs at every entrance.
4. Fill first mop bucket 3/4 full of rinse water. This is to be used to pick up squeegee trails left by the automatic scrubber, put on gloves and goggles.
5. Fill second bucket half full of water and add the correct proportion of cleaner. This material is to beused in areas where the automatic scrubber cannot reach, such as corners, baseboards, ledges, etc.
6. Fill machine soap tank with water and add the correct amount of cleaner for deep scrubbing.
7. With full brush pressure on the machine brushes, proceed to double scrub and on the second pass, put the squeegee blade down and pick up the solution.
8. After each section has been deep scrubbed, use a clean rinse mop and water to pick up squeegee blade trails left by the automatic scrubber.
9. Use the second mop bucket, along with a pad and pad holder, to scrub the baseboards, corners, and other small areas. Rinse as you clean.
10. Allow the floor to dry.
11. Check floor for cleanliness.
12. If the floor is clean and film free, apply two coats of floor finish.
13. Clean all tools and store.

CONCLUSION:
A clean and well maintained floor will always have the "High Gloss" look.
