PROCEDURE FOR CLEANING GREASE AND OIL FROM CEMENT OR ASPHALT


Tools & Materials Needed:

l. Degreaser for black top
2. Degreaser for cement
3. Deck brush or floor machine
4. Foamer or sprinkling can
5. Garden hose
6. Floor squeegee
7. Gloves and goggles


Procedures:

Grease and oil drips from automobiles, leaving the service areas, parking lots and drive throughs filled with grease and oil.
These vehicles also leave their mark at drive-in banks, turnpike entrances, apartment complex parking lots, truck stops, and hospital parking areas.
People step out of their automobiles onto a puddle of grease and oil. This is tracked into homes and office buildings.
Many accidents have occurred because of grease and oil in these areas, and listed below is how these areas can be cleaned without harm to the cement and asphalt.

CLEANING CEMENT AND ASPHALT:
1. Put on gloves and goggles.
2. Sweep the area to be cleaned.
3. Apply cleaner-degreaser to the cement or asphalt using a sprinkling can or a foam gun.
4. Agitate with a stiff broom, deck brush, or scrubbing machine.
5. Apply cleaner-degreaser, again.
6. Let set five minutes.
7. Rinse. A thorough rinsing is necessary.
8. Clean all tools and equipment and store.
