STRIPPING A FLOOR WITH AN AUTOMATIC SCRUBBER

Tools & Materials Needed:
1. Automatic scrubber
2. Floor stripper
3. Mop buckets
4. Wringer
5. Wet floor signs
6. Long handled scraper or putty knife
7. Floor squeegee
8. Stripping pads
9. Dust mop, frame, handle and head
10. Rubber gloves and goggles for mixing the stripper

Procedures:

Put on gloves and goggles.
Fill the solution tank on the automatic scrubber with hot water. Following the instructions on the stripper container, mix product accordingly. Move the machine to the job site. Place stripping pads on the pad holders, dust mop the section to be stripped. Turn the solution valve to the "on" position, turn the machine on and lower the pads to the floor. This will allow you to scrub the floor while you are laying the solution.
Cover the area to be stripped with solution, allow to stand 3 - 5 minutes, turn the pads back on, scrub the solution with the machine, lower the squeegee, and pick up the solution as you go.
The other procedure for stripping with an automatic is to put the stripper on the floor with a mop, put a clear water rinse in the solution tank, let the stripper stand 3-5 minutes, scrub with the squeegee down, picking up the solution as you go. On the next pass, turn the solution valve on which allows the clear water to come out of the solution tank. That gives you one rinse from the machine. Follow this with either one clear water rinse, if you have used a rinse free stripper, or one rinse with a floor neutralizer and one clear water rinse for any other stripper.
