Wet Floor Signs
All Purpose Cleaner Spray Bottle
Broom & Dust Pan
Putty Knife
Bucket & Wringer
Neutral Cleaner
Spray Bottle of Disinfectant

Procedures:
1. Place Wet Floor Signs at top and bottom of stairs. Check to see if any light bulbs are not working in the light fixture or “Exit” sign in the stairwell. If so, remove the cover and replace the bulbs. Clean cover and replace.
2. Starting at the top of the stairs, sweep stairs from the top to the bottom. Pick up loose debris with the broom and dust pan. Using the putty knife, scrape any gum or tar from the stairs as you sweep.
3. Put on personal protective equipment.
4. Using the spray bottle of disinfectant and a cloth, spray the cloth until wet and wash the hand rails. When the cloth becomes soiled, change the cloth.
5. Using the spray bottle and sponge, working from the top down, clean the risers, edges and corners.
6. Dip the mop in the bucket of neutral cleaner and wring out. Mop the stairs from the top down. When the stairs are dry, remove Wet Floor signs.
7. Rinse the mop. Clean the bucket and wringer and store in the usual manner.
